SANDALWOOD EO

Sandalwood essential oil is widely used in perfumery for its amazing scent. It is also beneficial for guarding skin against skin cancer, managing anxiety, treating acne scars and cough. 

• Face: mix a few drops of sandalwood essential oil, a teaspoon of distilled water, turmeric powder and crushed camphor. Apply this paste daily for 20 minutes for 2 to 4 weeks to get rid of acne scars and dark spots.   
• Hair: add a few drops of sandalwood essential oil to your leave-in conditioner and use as a natural hair perfume.
• Body: dilute a few drops of sandalwood essential oil in grapeseed oil and use as an after shave; it soothes, tightens and cleanses the skin.
• Health: a compound called a-santalol found in sandalwood essential oil can help promote cell death of cancerous cells.
• Aromatherapy: sandalwood essential oil is excellent for reducing the severity and duration of a cough; add a few drops to a tissue and inhale regulary.
• Precaution: always apply a test on the inner crease of the elbow. Not suitable for children under 5, pregnant and breastfeeding women and those with hypersensitive skin. Never apply undiluted nor on mucous areas (eyes inside nostrils and ears) and open wounds. Do not swallow except if medically advised.
• Dillution  : 0.5 to 5%
• Shelf life: up to 3 years in a dark cool place
