Ylang-ylang essential oil is beneficial for reducing depression, lowering blood pressure, decreasing heart rate, stimulating oil production in the skin and the scalp, increasing sexual desire and reducing sexual anxiety, easing stomach distress, rheumatism, headache, malaria and pneumonia .
- Face: add 1 to 3 drops of ylang-ylang essential oil to your moisturizer if you have dry flaky skin especially during winter.
- Hair: add a very few drops of ylang-ylang essential oil to your shampoo and conditioner if you are suffering from dry breaking hair.
- Body: add a few drops of ylang-ylang essential oil to your body lotion or body butter to nourish, hydrate, and tone the skin.
- Health: to ease stomach distress, lower blood pressure, rheumatism, headache and reduce heart rate combine 15 drops of ylang-ylang essential oil, 10 drops geranium essential oil, 10 drops grapefruit essential oil and 2 cups of dead sea salt into a bathtub under hot running water. Ensure the salt has completely dissolved before soaking in the bath for 15 to 30 minutes.
- Aromatherapy: diffuse ylang-ylang essential oil in your bedroom to increase sexual desire and reduce sexual anxiety.
- Precaution: always apply a test on the inner crease of the elbow. Not suitable for children under 5, pregnant and breastfeeding women and those with hypersensitive skin. Never apply undiluted nor on mucous areas (eyes inside nostrils and ears) and open wounds. Do not swallow except if medically advised.
- Dillution : 0.5 to 5%
